can we use my own oocyte? If it’s mutation, will PGT find it? Is there a chance that mutation will affect baby in more severe way?

Hello. I’m 25 year old female. I was diagnosed premeture ovarian insufficiency, my mother’s menopause was at age 38, my two twin (Fraternal) brothers have been born with hypospadias and both have azoospermia. Now At this moment we are planning a baby (by help IVF)

Anna, if you have a known specific mutation in the family, PGT can help determine if the baby has the same mutation. If there is know known mutation, then PGT will not help with this. If you have POI, you may not make enough eggs for IVF to work. I would recommend you meet with an REI physician and genetics counselor to discuss these issues, if you have not already had that opportunity.
