GnRH helps in Fertility preservation.

The chemotherapeutic drugs are mostly toxic to all cells. However, they are far more toxic  to rapidly dividing cells as in the bone marrow, gastro intestinal tract, bone marrow, gonads and hair, than other less rapidly dividing cells. We hypothesized in an article in RBMO in the inaugural issue of the Journal, that GnRH, by gonadal suppression, will reduce the risk of chemotherapy. (1)

The peer reviewers had reservation about this suggestion. However, 20 years later, we find our suggestion seems to work in a large number of people.
